Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Bamboo Forge Games ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use LottoVerify (the "App"). By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. Where required by law, we obtain your consent before collecting certain data (see Consent & Tracking).

Information We Collect

The App is available on iOS. It can scan and check lottery tickets offline; it connects to Google services to request advertisements and to public New York State open datasets for official draw results.

Advertisements and consent. The App displays banner ads and may show at most one full-screen (interstitial) ad in an app session. We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and its ad-network partners to serve and measure ads. Before we show personalized ads, we ask for your consent (see Consent & Tracking). If you do not grant consent, we request non-personalized ads instead.
Advertising identifier (iOS). On iOS, we request permission to use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) through the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can decline; the App will still work, but ads may be less relevant. We use the identifier only to serve and measure ads, subject to your consent choices.
Information processed for ads. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process device identifiers, your advertising identifier where available and permitted, IP address and approximate location, ad requests and interactions, and diagnostic or performance data. Google may use and share information processed by its SDKs with its advertising and service providers to deliver, measure, and protect ads, subject to your consent choices, applicable law, and Google's policies. We do not directly access or store this advertising information. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google's guidance for publishers.
Ticket images. When you scan a ticket, the photo is stored only in the App's private storage on your device so you can review the result. We do not upload ticket photos to any server. Photos you add to the internal OCR test set (available only in internal builds) are likewise stored only in the App's private storage, and its results report counts and timings rather than the photos, recognized text, or ticket numbers.
Diagnostic data. The App keeps a short, on-device log of recent events (for example, scan results and errors) to help diagnose problems. This log is stored only on your device and is never uploaded automatically. You can review it in Settings and, if you choose, copy or share it with us.
Draw data. Official lottery draw results are obtained from public New York State open datasets. These are public records and are not personal information about you.
No analytics. The App does not integrate a separate analytics service. The advertising SDK may process ad-related diagnostics and interactions as described above.
No account. The App does not require an account and does not collect a name, email address, or other identifying information from you.

Information We Receive

We do not receive the advertising information processed by Google's SDK. Google may provide us with aggregated ad performance or revenue reports that do not identify you. If you contact us directly (for example, by email, or by sharing a diagnostic report), we will handle the information you provide in accordance with this policy.

How We Use Information

To provide and maintain the App.
To show you advertisements and measure their effectiveness.
To diagnose and fix technical problems when you choose to share a diagnostic report.

The App is intended for adults. On first use we ask you to confirm that you are at least 18 years old; personalized advertising is not requested until you confirm. You can then choose whether to allow personalized ads in Settings. On iOS, we request permission to use your advertising identifier through the App Tracking Transparency prompt; you can decline, and the App will still work. You can change your ad preferences at any time in Settings, or by visiting Google Ads Settings or resetting your device's advertising identifier in your device settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. The iOS advertising SDK sends information to Google and its advertising partners as necessary to provide and measure ads, subject to your consent choices and applicable law. We do not share ticket photos or diagnostic logs with these services unless you explicitly share a diagnostic report with us.

Data Retention

Ticket images and the on-device diagnostic log are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete them or when the App removes them automatically. We retain any information you send us (for example, a shared diagnostic report) only as long as necessary to address your request.

Your Rights

You can manage available advertising privacy choices in the App's Settings. Depending on where you live (for example, the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may also have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of personal information. Google provides controls and information through its privacy tools and policies. You may also contact us with questions or requests; we will direct requests about information held by Google to Google where appropriate (see Contact Us).

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your country, which may be 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

Ticket images and diagnostic logs are stored locally on your device. Advertising and consent requests are transmitted to Google over network connections protected by the service provider. We use reasonable measures to protect any information we handle directly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will update this policy if our data practices change.
